Delete your CareChorus account

You can delete your CareChorus account at any time.

If you have the app

Open CareChorus and go to Settings → Delete account. The app shows exactly what will be deleted before you confirm, stops any sharing first, and erases its data from that device.

If you no longer have the app

Email privacy@carechorus.ca from the Google account you signed in to CareChorus with, and ask us to delete your account. Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours. We will reply to confirm, and delete your account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your CareChorus account and the email address we hold for it
• Your share links, which stop working
• The push notification registrations for your devices
• Invitations addressed to you that you have not accepted
• Your history with the Discover feature

Deleting from the app also stops sharing with the people you share profiles with, and erases CareChorus’s data from that device.

Deleting by email cannot do either of those: we have no access to your Google Drive or your devices. People you shared profiles with keep access to them until you remove it in Google Drive, and you should uninstall the app from your devices.

What stays

• Your “CareChorus Data” folder in Google Drive. CareChorus keeps your health records in your own Google Drive, not on our servers, so the folder is yours. Delete it in Google Drive if you no longer want it.
• Profiles other people have shared with you. Those belong to the people who shared them, and they control access to them.
